Asian Fellow with Blond Hair Episode Airs (November 23, 1996)

Our NashBIT of 11/10/96 describing actor Jason Tobin's part occurs in the episode "Promised Land" which aired 11/22/96. The scene we described probably ended up on the cutting room floor. Jason Tobin plays a uniform cop killed in a Chinatown shoot-out. In the tip that we were given by witnesses to the Chinatown location shoot, the wounded Tobin is helped by Nash and Joe into the 'Cuda car, and rushed to the hospital. As the finalized version in the aired episode, the uniformed Tobin is presumed dead in the street after the violent shoot-out leaving two dead and one wounded. But later Nash announces that the officer is "OK." There's a picture of Jason in police uniform as he appears in NASH BRIDGES at his web site located at:

Not Enough Bang on Those NASH BRIDGES Guns! (November 23, 1996)

A lot of viewers have commented on the strange muffled quality of the gun shots on NASH BRIDGES, especially on the episode "Night Train." The likely reason for this, if you'll notice in the "Night Train" episode, a gun is fired inside an enclosed space (inside a BART train). Gun shots are horrifically LOUD, and potentially dangerous in enclosed spaces - enough to rupture eardrums. Gun shots are special effects - blanks are loaded one-quarter to one-half the amount of gun powder normally used in fully loaded ammunition. More gun powder is used strictly for flash effect - the more powder, the bigger the flash (also more noise). Either way, guns firing blanks are just as dangerous as real guns.

Asian Fellow with Blond Hair Identified! (November 10, 1996)

We received a report from one of our many eyes in SF who spotted the NASH BRIDGES production doing a scene with Don Johnson and "an Asian fellow with blond hair." That Asian fellow's dad contacted us from Hong Kong and identified his son, Jason J. Tobin as the actor. Jason has a web site at:

Look for Jason's appearance on the upcoming episode.

Father of Madonna's Baby on NASH BRIDGES (November 4, 1996)

In the Sunday, November 3, 1996 San Francisco Examiner, Rob Morse details that Carlos Leon, biological father of Madonna's new daughter, was sighted filming on 24th Street in San Francisco last week for a guest appearance on NASH BRIDGES. He was sighted with Cheech Marin between Noe and Castro streets, shopping at "Small Frys", owned by Carol Yenne. Cheech bought a jacket for his daughter and Leon bought an 'offwhite "turtle fur" jumpsuit with snow leopard faux fur trim and a matching faux fur jacket' for Lourdes Maria Cicone Leon. For more info, visit Rob Morse's column at the San Francisco Examiner.
