 [The Original Unofficial NASH BRIDGES]

* "FRISCO BLUES"
Soap Opera
May 8, 1999

Everything in NASH BRIDGES is driving towards a potentially sad ending as the rug is pulled out from the SIU. Last season ended with Nick having a dramatic heart attack. This season things are suddenly looking bleak: the SIU is permanently broken up, Nash contemplates leaving the police force, Caitlin may not return, and Cassidy and Evan might break up. With one more episode to go, it's clear that this is a two-parter, as these major questions are left unanswered.

Last week, we left an embittered Nash burnt by Caitlin. This week, after an initial frostiness, he's declaring his love for her. What on earth? The net result may be that Caitlin will still be gone for betraying Nash and destroying the SIU. Nash comes out looking like the nice guy, but ultimately Caitlin still must pay the piper. Her potential replacement is already in place - Inspector Riley Webber, homicide detective. She looks competent and attractive.

The way the NASH BRIDGES rollercoaster cum soap opera goes, Nash may still end up marrying Caitlin, Harvey might marry Anna, and Evan might marry Cassidy to end the season on a triple wedding. Nick might be so happy he'll have another heart attack. Let's wait for the season finale...
