Nash:You know, whoever sent that party crasher is undoubtedly going to send another one.
Chase:Uh huh.
Nash:So I want you outta here. Right now.
Chase:Um. You're kicking me out?
Chase:You mean that's it?
Nash:Yes, for now.
Chase:But I didn't get to show you everything.
Nash:Well, you know what, it's always good to have something to look forward to, isn't it?
Chase:I guess.
Nash:See ya around.
Chase:Yeah, see ya.

In the 'Cuda, Joe informs Nash that wife Inger and daughter Lucia are finally returning from Sweden after a five month stay there. Nash notices that they are being tailed by a motorcycle. Nash evades and corners the motorcycle on the docks. Nash and Joe discover it is FBI agent Shane West on a deep undercover mission. Shane has been investigating the Kruger Drug Cartel, and needs Nash to arrest hitman John Gettman. Nash and Joe follow Gettman, but before they can arrest him, Gettman is struck dead by a car.

Nash searches Gettman's hotel room and discovers a suitcase full of German currency. A phone call informs Nash (who has now assumed the identity of Gettman) to go to a restaurant with the currency. At the restaurant, Nash/Gettman exchanges the currency for a hockey stick. Wrapped in the hockey stick is a digital photo card describing his mission to kill Carlos Santiago.

On return to the hotel room, Nash/Gettman finds a girl (Chase) taking a shower. Chase has just delivered a rifle with silencer for Nash/Gettman to kill Santiago with. Meanwhile Shane West has been located under the name of Eddie Calhoun. Nash/Gettman goes to Calhoun's apartment - it is empty, but Chase's has a message in the answering machine. Four DEA agents show up and arrest Nash/Gettman. They interrogate Nash/Gettman, but Nash reveals nothing, but finds out that the DEA also knows of his assignment to kill Santiago.

Meanwhile, Inger and Lucia have returned from Sweden with a surprise, Inger's mother Ula. Ula interrupts Joe and Inger in the bedroom, and Ula takes over Joe's bed. An irate Joe finally loses his temper, but Ula is fast asleep from a sleeping pill.

Nick's weekly poker game with his three buddies Red, Merle and Stan takes a turn when Nick is invited in on their planning for a bank robbery. Bank security guard Red needs $50,000 for heart bypass surgery. Nick tries to talk them out of it, and consults with Joe on the penalties for bank robbery.

Evan meets with Cassidy to ask Cassidy for his engagement ring back. Cassidy finds it hard to return the ring, but she does, and hugs Evan for one last time.

Another hitman tries to kill Nash/Gettman in the hotel elevator, but Nash survives. Chase is there also, and she gives first aid to Nash. Nash finds out Chase works for Kruger, and sends her away to avoid the danger. Nash/Gettman finds Chase at Kruger's night club hang-out. Shane West is also there as Eddie Calhoun, but Nash's cover is blown, as Kruger personally knows Gettman. Kruger thinks Nash is a DEA agent, and sends him out to be killed. But Chase intervenes and saves Nash, but Kruger gets away. At a later meeting between Kruger and Santiago, the FBI raid the meeting. Shane West arrests Kruger before he can ambush Santiago.

Dressed as a robber himself, Nick interrupts the bank robbery, letting Merle and Stan get away. But Red has a coronary at the bank, and Red and Nick get caught. But later at the hospital visiting Red, Nash arrests Merle and Stan, letting Nick off the hook.

Joe stays late at the office to avoid Ula, but returns home with flowers. Ula babysits, so that Joe and Inger can have some time together. Evan pawns his engagement ring for much needed cash. With his buddies in jail, Nick plays cribbage with Nash.
