Guest Stars: Suki Kaiser, Michael Massee, Kieu Chinh, and Kelly Hu. Special Guest Stars: Tracey Walter and Jan Michael Vincent as Bobby Chase.

Nash:Where you been, man?
Bobby:Here and there, mostly there. You did good, bro.
Nash:Why haven't you called, Bobby?
Bobby:I didn't do a lot of things. I kinda of took a big left turn. I guess you know that by now.

Nash and Harvey finish a Chinese meal and break up two hookers squabbling over turf. Nash receives a mysterious phone call from reporter Emily Raskin asking Nash to meet her. Emily mentions Nash's presumed dead brother Bobby. Before Nash can meet with Emily, she is killed by a hitman on a motorcycle. The hitman is killed by Harvey.

At headquarters, the dead man is identified as a French national just arrived from Thailand. A postcard arrives from Joe who is on vacation in Monserrat. The rest of the SIU is informed that Nash's brother Bobby was a MIA (missing in action) helicopter pilot shot over Vietnam in 1973. Bobby was also a star quarterback, and a hero with a Silver Star and Distinguished Flying Cross. The 'Cuda which Nash drives around is Bobby's, which he has kept while Bobby was in Vietnam. Nash has always idolized and wished to be like Bobby.

Emily's husband, Captain Raskin, reveals that she was working on a story about the Southeast Asian Heroin Trade, labeling the new cartel as "The New French Connection." Evan and Michelle arrest a Frenchman trying to steal Emily's computer, but Harvey does acquire the computer to unravel her secret files. From Emily's files, the SIU learns of Gerrard Marquette, a Frenchman trying to control the Thailand poppy fields and heroin trade. Michelle is kidnapped by Marquette. Michelle is offered a suitcase full of money to turn over Emily's computer, but Michelle manages to escape. Emily's files also reveals a Madame Nu, a heroin importer, and a grainy photo of Bobby.

Meanwhile at ex-wife Lisa's home (where daughter Cassidy is now staying), Lisa's sister Lynnette has come for a stay. Lynnette has also brought a boyfriend, much to the consternation of Nash.

Nash and Michelle rescue Angel, Nash's self-appointed wacky guardian angel, from a public nuisance spectacle in a fountain. Nash has a talk with Madame Nu and Nu fills in the rest of the picture. Bobby Chase (Nash's brother) is a competitor with Marquette for control of the Thailand heroin trade. Marquette has killed Bobby's wife and children in retaliation, and now Bobby has surfaced to kill Marquette. Because of this rivalry, Madame Nu herself is forced to leave the US for Hong Kong.

A disturbed Nash returns home to find father Nick looking at old home movies of Bobby. Nick mistakes Nash for Bobby. Nash realizes Nick is emotionally overcome because Bobby has come to visit him. Nash has Evan stay with Nick, while Harvey keeps a tap on the phone in case Bobby calls.

The SIU busts up an illegal art auction in a warehouse. Nash speaks to Marquette via cellular phone, threatening Marquette. One of the participants in the auction reveals the whereabouts of Marquette's hotel. The SIU sets up as Marquette shows up. Bobby is also there and fires at Marquette. In the ensuing shoot-out, Marquette's men are killed, and Nash kills Marquette. Nash catches a glimpse of Bobby as he gets away in a taxicab.

From the taxicab driver, Nash is lead to Bobby's rooming house in Chinatown. Nash decides to go it alone and finally meets Bobby in an alley where the brothers exchange farewells. Back at headquarters, Angel gives Nash mysterious advice to "close the door" on Bobby, and Angel gives Bobby's keys to the 'Cuda. Nash decides to let Bobby go by not mentioning his meeting with Bobby to the rest of the SIU. Nash goes home to Nick.
