Guest Stars: Special Guest Star-Tracey Walter. Frank Medrano, Cristine Rose, Gareth Williams, Samantha Smith, Clarence Clemens, and Kate Vernon as Whitney Thomas.

Nash: Oh no, you opened it.
Lisa: Oh Nash, what a beautiful gift! I couldn't wait. Nash, this is so unexpected. I'm not quite sure how to respond.
Nash: Ah, Lisa...
Lisa: Wait, wait - I'll always have feelings for you Nash, including romantic feelings....I felt that Christmas alters our perceptions. So why don't we put these feelings on hold until after the holidays and then see how we feel.
Nash: That's good, after the holidays.
Lisa: You never fail to surprise me, Nash. That's one of the things I love about you.
Nash: Yeah. yeah. After Christmas.

The SIU (Special Investigations Unit) arrives at the Lombard Department Store answering a burglar alarm to find two dead bodies. Nash concludes that the burglars are still in the store. Nash and Joe encounter two robbers - one of the robbers gets shot dead by Nash and another robber is wounded and gets away. The bodies are of the department store owner John Strauss and two robbers - the Neff brothers, Peter and Larry. The third robber has gotten away. A priority is placed on this case because John Strauss is a friend of the Mayor forcing everybody in the SIU to delay their Christmas plans.

Meanwhile, everybody is making their Christmas plans. Joe secretly takes Nash's beloved 'Cuda car to be cleaned and detailed as a Christmas surprise, but the 'Cuda gets stolen and used in a bank robbery. Evan Cortez has a hot date with college student Carrie. Bryn Carson is going to see her family, while Harvey Leek plans a reconciliation with wife Bonnie. Nash's gift to Lisa is mixed up with his romantic gift to Whitney, his dad's beautiful nurse.

The third robber, Jackson Moore, is caught and brought in. Nash's self-professed crazy Angel is also brought into the station. Moore tries to escape, but Angel intervenes and is shot at. Moore reveals that the Neff brothers were hired by the owner John Strauss to rob his own store. Strauss was a disgruntled employee and planned to kill the robbers to cover his own looting of his store, but Moore was an unexpected surprise.

A ring of sorority hookers is arrested for blackmailing their customers, but the girls won't reveal their boss. Bryn Carson is sent in undercover to find out that the ring leader is a concierge at a hotel. One of the hookers turns out to be Evan's hot date Carrie. Harvey's wife Bonnie dumps Harvey and leaves for Portland. Nash's car is located, and after finding out, Nash tricks Joe into buying rare new tires for the 'Cuda. Nash straightens out the mix-up in gifts to Whitney by kissing her at midnight (as predicted by Angel). Joe, dressed as Santa, and Big Barry (who located the rare tires for Nash's car) perform "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" for a group of disappointed kids.
