Nash:All right, try this. The symphony, Saturday.
Caitlin:...That sounds suspiciously like a date.
Nash:Oh no, no no. We don't have to call it a date. We could call it good music or, ah, scintillating conversation.
Caitlin:Ah, I, I don't think so, but thank you.
Nash:Why not?
Caitlin:Well, my history with mixing business and pleasure hasn't been exactly successful.
Nash:...Look, I'm not your fiancé and this isn't the CIA. So maybe it's time you get over it.
Caitlin:Being responsible for the death of someone you really care about, you don't just get over it, Nash.
Nash:You do if you want to get on with your life.

Driving along in the 'Cuda, Joe informs Nash that he is buying wife Inger a car through the police auction. A limousine speeds by being chased by a police car. The 'Cuda joins the chase. The police car crashes, the limo is blocked by a garbage truck. The driver, looking like a vampire, escapes. Inside the limo trunk is a beautiful blond, in the passenger compartment is a dead man, stabbed in the chest with a dagger.

The beautiful blond is Fenn Rivers, a rock'n'roll singer who was kidnapped by the vampire. The dead man is her bodyguard Bernie Hall, who was an off-duty police officer. Caitlin is sent to question Fenn to determine whether Hall died in the line of duty. Nash and Joe accompany Fenn to the Blood Club, a Goth club where vampires hang out. They spot Fenn's kidnapper there. Nash and Joe give chase, but the vampire jumps off the roof and hits the pavement dead.

Meanwhile, Boz Bishop is bidding on a Lincoln Navigator, instead of the Volvo that Joe wants for his wife. Boz acquires the tricked-out Navigator. Joe must pay to have the Navigator converted back to normal. Five kilos of heroin are discovered in the gas tank. Joe and Boz have been followed by the heroin dealers - as they go to fill-up the Navigator, the dealers steal the Navigator. Harvey has a court date, so Evan agrees to walk his dog King. In the park, Evan meets a woman Ursula and her dog Sophie. They go out on a date, but Evan discovers that Ursula is overly pre-occupied with only her dog.

The vampire is identified as Damian Kensen. In his belongings is a mailing list for a Goth newsletter and a blood bag from St. Mary's blood bank. A trace of the names reveals a crossmatch on a lab assistant who is on mailing list and also works at the blood bank, a Tantra Gogal. Evan and Harvey locate Tantra sleeping in a coffin. Tantra reveals that Lothar is the Supreme Being, the head of the vampire cult. Meanwhile, Frank the electrician has finally witnessed the phantom disco eruptions lingering in the old SIU barge, but he has a heart attack before anything can be done.

Nash visits Fenn at her recording studio to protect her. Fenn and Nash are attacked by two vampires with knives, but Nash takes them down. Fenn shows up at his apartment to offer herself to him, but Nash refuses. Caitlin intrudes to tell Nash she intends to leave the SIU, but not before Caitlin sees Fenn coming out of the shower.

Nash researches the cult and discovers that the cult believes Fenn is the White Witch whose blood gives them youth and immortality. Nash confronts Lothar at the Blood Club and warns him. But the cult kidnaps Fenn from the recording studio. Harvey plants an electronic tracer in Tantra's clothes, and they release her from the SIU jail. Tantra leads them to the secret lair where Lothar and the cult are to sacrifice Fenn. Nash and company intervene just as Lothar is about to cut Fenn. Nash shoots Lothar, he falls against a torch and catches fire, engulfed in flames and dies.

Evan discovers he really loves Cassidy on his bad date with Ursula. Boz gets another car for Joe - this time a '62 Jaguar Mark II, with the steering wheel on the right side. Caitlin packs up and moves out of the SIU to the Hall of Justice.
